The Propane-ALL-N-ONE-socket set has been designed to be used on 6 of the most common liquid withdrawal valve caps in use today.

Have you’ve ever had to lay on the ground and try to get your arms and a wrench in a pit to remove a valve cap, if so, you know the benefit of the tool. Not to mention that your face is exposed to the hazard area if something goes wrong.
At times a liquid withdrawal valve can be difficult to access. Especially when installed on an underground tank or on the belly of a bobtail. Multiple manufacturers produce liquid withdrawal valves. Sherwood, Cavagna, Marshall Excelsior and Rego each use different size and/or shape of cap.
The Propane-ALL-N-ONE-socket Set was created as a to fit multiple liquid withdrawal valve caps styles while maintaining a relatively small size. When I started this process I decided that it needed to able to work with common 1/2” drive tools eliminating the need for specialty handles.
Machined from 6061 aluminum these tools are light weight and strong.
The Rego instruction sheet 7590U-300 says “Clean the sealing face of the Chek-Lok® and reinstall the 7590U-5 Cap and Gasket Assembly by applying 300-400 in-lbs torque.” http://www.regoproducts.com/PDFs/September_Field_Topic-Chek-Lok_Valves.pdf
300-400 in-lbs torque equals 25.91 – 33.33 ft-lbs of torque. A test of the sockets strength was conducted for reference. Over 150 ft-lbs of torque was applied multiple times with no failure or deformity.
I’ve received some questions regarding the vent hole in the caps on liquid propane withdrawal valves. I have updated the “ALL-N-ONE” socket information sheet to address those questions. Individual manufacturer valve caps on liquid withdrawal valves while different in design have vent holes below the tool surface. What this means is that the vent hole will be not be blocked by the “ALL-N-ONE” socket, with one exception. One style cap does have its vent hole in the flat tool surface. The “ALL-N-ONE” socket has been designed with matching ports on all tool flats so as to not impede the release of propane from that style cap.
