What you need to know

The requirements for Responder Training, Inc. to teach your LP Gas School are:

A class room capable of comfortably seating the attending students with writing surface (for the written test).

One projector screen or large white wall. Room capable of being darkened.

A burn area of approximately 150 feet wide X 250 feet long min., preferably asphalt or concrete
 (the asphalt/concrete will not be damaged) free of overhead obstructions and other dangers.

Two Class "A" pumper's, four hand lines of a minimum of 150 feet each line.

Water supply capable of supplying and sustaining 4 hand lines (500 GPM min).
 

Four fog nozzles with very good patterns. (we can supply nozzles if need be)

The hosting department is responsible for obtaining a sponsor for the propane being burned. The propane company should then contact Responder Training, Inc. for more information. (Contact us for special billing options)

Practical Exercise Student Waiver

Notice!

It is mandatory that all personnel participating in interior fire fighting wear complete turnout equipment that meets current minimum IOSHA standards. Based on instructor preferences, this may also be required for other live-action training in such procedures as LP Gas classes, rescue, ventilation, or extrication. Turn out equipment includes helmet with face shield and liner, coat, gloves, hood, self-contained breathing apparatus, and protective trousers with boots.

Important notice to all participants:

Any individual attending a class requiring personal protective equipment must sign a waiver prior to the beginning of class. A copy of the waiver follows:

WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

The undersigned hereby certifies that he/she is at least 18 years of age, has had at a minimum the 24-hour Mandatory Training Course required by I.C. 1971, 36-8-10.5 et, seq. or in the alternative, that he/she was elected or appointed to membership in a fire company prior to January 1, 1988 or received equivalent fire fighter training. For and in consideration of the training and education opportunities offered to me, I hereby release and indemnify Responder Training, Inc., its officers, agents, servants, employees and instructors, the hosting organization, the property owner(s) and any organization supplying products for the class from all liability from the undersigned, their personal representatives, heirs, assigns, and next of kin for all loss or damage and any claim or demands on accounts of injury to myself resulting in death or injury to myself whether caused by negligence of the releases or otherwise while the undersigned is in, about, or around the training ground facility.

In addition, all participants are advised of the following policy statement: Any person enrolled in a course which includes field exercises, live drills, or "hands-on" training who, in the opinion of the instructor, is not physically or mentally capable of performing the exercises, or who performs the exercise in a reckless or unsafe manner, will not be allowed to participate further and will not be given credit for drill time.
